Some ingredients are wonderfully versatile, and Chana Dal is one of them. The same golden dal can become a comforting bowl of dal at lunch, a crispy evening snack, or even a festive sweet.

Just Organik Chana Dal brings this much-loved Indian pulse to your kitchen with its mildly nutty flavour, firm texture, and beautiful golden colour. Carefully selected for quality, it fits effortlessly into both everyday meals and traditional recipes.

It is a familiar ingredient that has travelled through generations, adapting to different kitchens, regions, and recipes while keeping its comforting taste.

Use it for dal fry, dal tadka, chana dal khichdi, dhokla, pakoras, puran poli, and traditional sweets.

For one person: Approximately 50–60 g of dry Chana Dal is a practical starting quantity for one person when served as part of a meal. Adjust according to appetite and the other dishes being served.

  8. Puran Poli – Cook Chana Dal until soft and combine it with jaggery and cardamom to prepare the traditional sweet filling for Puran Poli.
  9. Chana Dal Paratha – Use cooked and spiced Chana Dal as a filling for stuffed parathas.
  10. Chana Dal Chaat – Cook the dal until tender and combine it with onion, tomato, coriander, lemon juice and chaat masala.
  11. Chana Dal Salad – Mix cooked and cooled Chana Dal with fresh vegetables, coriander and lemon for a simple savoury salad.
